Talk to a tenant

Messages, top right beside Notifications, opens a panel with each conversation and its unread count. New message picks a tenant, or Everyone at a house to write to each tenant there privately. The paperclip adds up to 4 photos or PDFs; scroll up for earlier messages.

The top of a conversation shows how they prefer to be reached, and Texts on when your messages reach them by text.

Notifications, the bell, lists repairs tenants report, applications, and payments tenants say they made. Mark all read clears it.

Write in English, they read theirs

If a tenant reads Spanish, Chinese (simplified or traditional), Tagalog, Vietnamese or Korean, each message is translated both ways: you write and read English, they read theirs. See original shows what was written. Set their language at the top of the conversation. Switching off AI suggestions, in Settings › Tools, stops it.

Their own page comes in the same language.

ExampleSam reads Spanish
  • You writeThe plumber comes Thursday at 10.
  • Sam readsEl plomero viene el jueves a las 10.
  • Sam replies¡Gracias! Estaré en casa.
  • You readThanks! I’ll be home.

Emails

Message emails, in Settings › Tools under Suggestions and alerts, sets how often tenants’ messages reach you by email. Nothing is emailed for a message you already read in Roomline.
